Field Service Technician (Nashville, TN)

Description:4Wall Entertainment Systems Division is looking for a Field Service Technician for onsite installation, service, repair and customer technical support of entertainment lighting and rigging systems. The job entails working directly with customers, contractors and project managers in order to complete installations and service calls.
Duties:Specific Duties will include:
1. Terminating low voltage wiring
2. Coordination with and verification of work completed by an electrical contractor
3. System programming of ETC, Color Kinetics and others
4. Theatrical lighting fixture hang and focus
5. Dead hang and motorized rigging installation
6. Curtain installation
7. Assessing existing systems for upgrade / repair needs
8. Assisting sales personnel in specifying new systems
9. Promote new business through onsite support and developing potential sales opportunities
10. In depth troubleshooting of DMX, networked and other lighting control systems
11. Providing over the phone and onsite technical support for systems
12. Training customers and fellow employees in system operation
Qualifications:Required Qualifications:
1. High School Diploma or GED
2. US Citizenship
3. Fluent in English
4. Hold and maintain a valid Driverís License
5. Experience operating large vehicles (Box trucks, vans, etc.)
6. Experience operating heavy equipment (Aerial platforms, forklifts, etc)
7. Able to lift up to 75 lbs.
8. In depth knowledge of DMX
9. Basic knowledge of electricity and electronics (digital and analog)
10. Strong computer skills and a working knowledge of computer networking
11. Control console experience (ETC, Jands, High End, etc)
12. Ability to read and interpret system drawings, electrical schematics, architectural plans and lighting plots
13. Strong understanding and experience with ETC lighting control systems
14. Strong understanding and experience with Color Kinetics lighting control systems
15. Strong understanding and experience with overhead rigging (Dead hang, counterweight, motorized and arena rigging)
16. Experience working with hand and power tools

Preferred Qualifications:
1. ETC Certified commissioning technician
2. ETC Certified Prodigy installer
3. Bachelorís degree in Technical Theatre or a similar field
4. Vocational training or equivalent experience in electronics
5. Production / Stagehand experience

Applicant must be available for overnight travel on short notice at least 5 days a week. Travel will include driving long distances on a regular basis. Work may also take place on nights and weekends. Average work week of 40-60 hours.

Compensation at a competitive hourly rate with benefits package DOE based on qualifications.

Health insurance and 401(k) are offered after satisfactory completion of 90-day probationary period. Position is full-time. Please state salary requirement. A drug test and background verification will be required.
